About us
Garland's
Cabin is one of the few remaining early homesteads in Floyd County, dating
back to the late 1800's. It has been completely renovated but retains
it's original rustic charm. It sits in the middle
of 173 acre Christmas Tree Farm, situated in its own secluded valley,
overlooking a private meadow and trout stream (Mira Fork Creek), where
nature abounds. Deer and wild turkey are frequently seen from the
cabin's deck, along with local and migrating birds, which sweep down for a drink or dinner at the creek. It is not unusual to
frighten up a Ruffed Grouse on a hike through the woods.

Bring
the kids and Fido and enjoy the many trails which wind through the
farm. Then hike up Strawberry Hill, where you will have a breathtaking
view of the surrounding countryside and Buffalo Mountain. In season,
wild strawberries and blackberries are for the picking, and the cabin's
kitchen contains all the utensils necessary to make a delicious
cobbler. Relaxing under the star studded sky and watching the shooting
stars from the deck, will round out a perfect day.
